The proportion of people suffering from dementia increases from around 5% over the age of 65 to 20% in the over-eighties age group. We provide a unique early diagnosis and treatment service for patients with memory problems.

We offer patients a single clinic appointment to undergo comprehensive Specialist assessments, including a brain scan imaging - with the results and diagnosis being immediately discussed, and the opportunity for any recommended treatment to be initiated – all during the one clinic visit.

A single clinic appointment at the Caledonian Memory Clinic can assess, diagnose and offer treatment to suitable people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, and although drug treatments cannot provide a cure, some people respond to treatment with an improvement in symptoms, or a slowing of the disease progression.
